Very few dragons in the lair are born into power, as the Militia firmly believes in earning your place through blood and ferocity. Vasily is an exception to this rule.

Found as an orphaned hatchling in the Southern Icefields during a invasion (ironically, her parents were slaughtered by their forces), Vasily was adored by the matriarch as soon as the Skydancer landed in her claws. Viktoria truly loves few dragons, but something in Vasily drew the Wildclaw in like flies to honey. She was brought up as her own at the top of the pecking order; it was seen to that Vasily received first bites of fresh-kill, the warmest cloaks, and protection from the rest of the lair's jealous claws.

As she grew, Viktoria's own savagery rubbed off on her, leaving the Skydancer sadistic and cruel. Unlike the matriarch, she prefers to let others do her dirty work, enlisting the help of young Belladonna to slash and tear Vasily's path through life. Anything the drake asks for, Belladonna delivers without question. The spiral is as loyal as they come; once a lowly adolescent, Vasily's own power has blessed her, boosting Belladonna up the lair's intricate social ladder. The two have a symbiotic relationship- Vasily provides social advantages, while Belladonna acts as a footsoldier for the Skydancer's interests.

Other than the obsidian spiral, Vasily has few friends. She has no sexual or romantic drive, so she pursues few relationships that do not benefit her directly.
