Matriarch
Mirage proudly walks among the dragons scattered around the plateau, head held high. A skydancer who embodies vanity and success in the face of hardships, she pays little mind to things beyond the wellbeing of her clan.She is respected among the dragons who make their homes alongside the ancient behemoth skeleton, both for her ruthlessness towards outsiders and the care she shows to her clan. It's always been known that Figment carries the heart between the two, and should you want to appeal to the good of the clan leaders on matters beyond the clan's own, you had best do it either when they're together, or when Mirage is otherwise occupied. Despite her frigid demeanor, aloof attitude, and apparent disinterest, Mirage is fiercely loyal to her clan. She knows each member in their skeletal village by name, is present for ever nest hatching, cares deeply for the aging and the sick. Newcomers always shake in her presence and cast their eyes downwards, unsure of what to do in the face of such a regal dragon. But longstanding clan members headbutt her flanks in greeting, or engage her in small talk. Mirage is known for her ability to heal the sick using methods, tools, and ingredients that she learned about on her travels. It was what had drawn Figment to her to begin with. His Skydancer body still held the heart of a Mirror, and knowing that his mate could heal sicknesses that their naturally durable bodies couldn't fight off held a great deal of appeal. Mirage can heal any wound from deep battle gashes to unavoidable ailments like blindness. It's said that Plaguebringer herself taught Mirage all she knows. Hatchlings and elderdragons alike call her Mother, knowing that her stern countenance hides an unshakable loyalty to and love for her clan. |
