The land of plague is hostile and toxic, with pools of rot and disease scattered about. It's rare for dragons to survive, and nigh unheard of them thriving, unless they're born into the pestilence riddled wasteland.
Some clans, lead by these plague-born dragons, make a point of taking in dragons from other flights that have found themselves lost and alone in the heart of the plague. Many of these dragons have been turned away due to mutations, or poor health, but Retexen Somnium has made it their duty to care for these dragons as best as they are able.
It's a dangerous place to live, and some dragons just want to help.
Many of the 'Somnium dragons have learned of something called "Wish Rising", and seem to have made it their mission to leave gifts for strangers that they happen across in their travels.

I just wanted to let you know that Lorelie is a wonderful dragon, she is one of my favorites, and she is such a beautiful ghost for my traveling carnival! She reminds me of Mira Grant's anglerfish mermaids somewhat, and I adore her!
