No-uh; origin from the word "nukhu", meaning repose or rest, or "nahum", meaning to comfort.

Stoic. Antisocial. Pale. Bad-a** warrior.
The perfect recipe for wanting to be left alone. And perfect recipe for attracting the attention of every dragon under the sun. He's extremely popular and the more he tries to not be, the more he becomes. It's a curse to be such a sparkle-boy...

(There's a explanation here for this. Noah.... is always picked for draw the dragon above you threads and has been picked as favorite 20+ times in dragon share threads. I, I don't understand? I threw this dragon together as a breeding partner for a dragon I don't even own anymore. I wasn't really trying why is he so gosh darn popular. EDIT: New owner! Gibby, let's see if he continues his reputation here...)

•~Personality
'Stoic' and 'antisocial' are words that describe Noah well, with the addition of 'proud' and 'grumpy'. Raised in an all-Wildclaw clan, he feels that his species is inherently better than others, and has taken their usual philosophy of 'might makes right' to heart. Though living in a mixed clan has taught him to accept- or at least tolerate- other breeds, if he must socialize, he feels more comfortable doing so with other Wildclaws, as he knows what to expect. He feels little but contempt for any without either physical or artistic prowess, particularly those who have little to do with the outside world and who couldn't survive by themselves in the wild. He ill conceals this pride and contempt when socializing, though most other emotions stay hidden under a cold, inscrutable expression.

Despite seeming cool and distant, Noah turns out to be fairly easy to irritate and annoy, the most common cause being the heat (something of a problem for an Ice dragon in the Viridian Labyrinth) a dragon bothering him when he wants to be alone (which is most of the time). He will tolerate being bothered for a surprisingly long while, getting increasingly annoyed and angry, before reaching the end of his rope and turning on the irritation, roaring out a challenge and readying to attack.

Clearly, he's not an easy dragon to get along with, even more so if you're not a Wildclaw. His respect can be gained if you're a warrior or hunter of skill, and he will appreciate you if you're happy to spend time with him, not talk much, and leave on request. One knows they've earned either his respect and admiration or his oh-so-rare friendship only when he gives a gift to one- this may be the only way to tell, for he is not particularly good at showing either openly.

•~History
Noah's parents, both Wildclaws themselves, come from a long line of their species; for a long way back, at least one grandparent, or great-grandparent, or an older ancestor, was a Wildclaw, meaning their blood runs strongly in his veins. This is true of his father, especially. Both encouraged him to be proud of what he is and taught him the ways of Wildclaws- specifically, physical prowess is most important, and that might makes right. Though Noah decided to remove his Iridescent and Shimmer to be a better hunter, to the dismay of his parents (and some of his fans!), he developed a sense of species pride as well.

However, his parents, who were taking a temporary sojourn to the Southern Icefield where he was born, decided to move back to their previous homes in the Windswept Plateau now that he had grown up. He did not go with them but stayed awhile in the Southern Icefield. He soon grew very tired of excited fans stalking him and messing up his hunts, though, and decided to get as far away from them as possible, leaving behind his all-Wildclaw clan and a position of some power to go to the Viridian Labyrinth. Not only was it the original home of Wildclaws, there would be new game to hunt there, and it would have very different challenges, as well, which appealed to him.

A long trek across Sornieth brought him here, where, thankfully, the one other Wildclaw did not become an instant slavish fan at his appearance. He was warmly welcomed to stay as long as he would. He finds some of the customs and rules very strange- the leader was one of the smallest and weakest dragons in the whole clan!- but is intelligent enough to not criticize or oppose them too openly while he stays. He's slightly developed something of a distant fondness for the weird place and odd dragons, actually, like you might for a dumb, loyal dog- but he would never openly admit it, likely not even to himself.

•~Physique
While a bit on the smaller side for a Wildclaw, Noah more than makes up for it with physical prowess. His body is muscular, powerful, and streamlined- particularly his legs, from frequent hunts of big and dangerous game. He has a deep chest with large lungs, which along with his streamlined figure allows him to run quite rapidly at need. His wings are somewhat short for his body, discouraging long flights. However, they are well-suited for short bursts of nimble flight among dense trees, useful when pursuing game in the Shrieking Wilds. His tail is rather long but powerful, and semi-prehensile from extensive practice- it can be used to whip foes, or hold certain small objects for a time.

Noah has few scars and takes pride in this, feeling it shows his hunting prowess since he is not often badly wounded. To help conceal his color, he adorns himself with dark leather, fur, and feathers. These aid him in staying unseen, which he can still do surprisingly well (like many of his species) even though his garments don't conceal all of his pale hide and glittering Gembond. With a special whetstone, he always keeps his claws sharpened, particularly the largest one on each foot, for easier wounding and cleaner kills. Occasionally, he will take the whetstone to his teeth, too. He knows a small amount of ice magic, which he sometimes uses to enhance the power of his teeth or claws or to preserve kills for longer. He disdains all other kinds of weapons, feeling that weapons are best left for weaker dragons unwilling to get their claws dirty.

•~Talents, Abilities, Shortcomings, and Flaws
Noah is an accomplished hunter, talented fighter, and a fairly good tracker, as he spent much of his youth being trained in such arts, at an expense to other skills. He is also quite a swift runner with a fair amount of endurance. His defensive capabilities are good, but not as advanced as his offensive ability. He has only a limited capacity for magic and small breath reserves. He is completely illiterate and lacks all but the most basic social skills, some of the more critical neglected parts of his education. Of other cultures than the one of Wildclaws, he knows only what he has observed his current clan.

•~Hoard
Noah cares little for material possessions, preferring the thrill of the hunt and the feeling of freedom one feels when alone in the wild. However, he sometimes takes trophies from hunts. Thus, various pelts, antlers, bones, and the like make up the majority of his small hoard.
