Soundwave
Always yearning for more knowledge, the Arcane dragons of the Starfall Isles commissioned the work of the Ashfall Waste's metalworkers to build a drone that would scour the world and gather intel on all that Sornieth had to offer. Using the finest metals and their best forgers, the Fire dragons crafted a robotic dragon in the image of a male Ridgeback.

However, no matter how hard they tried, they could not bring life to their creation, leaving it as a lifeless husk. Desperate to bring the robot they'd built to life, the Fire dragons used a living shadow from the Tangled Wood and fused it with their creation, giving birth to Soundwave, the first artificial dragon in history.

Unaware of the source of his life, the Arcane dragons happily sent out their new toy into the world. Soundwave proved to be everything they wanted and more. As a Ridgeback, he could use the spikes on his back and his long nose as antennae to pick up soundwaves and listen in on private conversations. Mostly what he overheard wasn't anything important, usual babbling between dragons in their daily lives.

Eventually, as any sentient cybernetic being does, he became self-aware and questioned why he had to take orders. He was a living being himself, albeit with an artificial body. Not wanting to be under control any longer, Soundwave shut off his tracking chip and went off on his own. Of course, he had nothing else to do but spy on clans all day, having no home of his own; yet this changed when he came across a small clan in the Tangled Wood, a place he seemed oddly drawn to.

At first when he was discovered, the dragons of the Twilight Clan attacked him, realizing he'd been spying, but after hearing his story, he was taken in as one of their own. Using his powers to help his new allies and protect the place he felt most at home, he acts as a scout, able to detect any nearby danger and warn the rest of the clan before it can hit.
