Medeni is very sweet and gentle for an extradimensional creature. Just enough in this dimension that she can see Ulapata, and just enough out of this dimension that most people can't directly see her, she spends most of her time patrolling the border of Clan Spectral looking for threats. While it's difficult to see him and impossible to touch her, dragons can hear and smell her.

Before Medeni wandered into Clan Spectral and met Ulapata, she had wandered Sornieth looking for a place to belong. Only a ghostly trail of dead plants and a vague sense of confusion marked where she had been before. Somehow, she gained nourishment from the death of the plants she walked upon, although it made her feel no more at home. Eventually, she searched for a place without plants to mark her passage, and wound up in the Southern Icefields.

It was a cold day when Medeni met Ulapata, and neither dragon was expecting the meeting. Ulapata had been searching for a quiet place to reflect, and Medeni was looking for a place to sleep for the night. Only they know what occurred at that first meeting, but Ulapata returned to Clan Spectral a month later with her new friend in tow. Despite the clan's initial apprehension, Medeni proved to be useful and helpful, and has earned her place in the clan. Even if she does sometimes go through walls.
