mute • healer • they/them Well, somebody has to do it. It was only after Clan Cornifer’s base was well established that Oberin mysteriously disappeared. When asked, Bukere showed no concern. She simply assured everyone that Oberin would be coming back, and eventually, they did. When they returned, they brought Ellaria with them. Ellaria does not speak, but Oberin seems to understand them easily. With the slightest body movements and indiscernible gestures to other dragons, they seem to have entire conversations between them. Because Ellaria does not speak, when absolutely necessary Oberin will speak on their behalf. Bukere seems to have learned much of Ellaria’s body language, and the three of them can often be seen spending their recreational time together, resting in peaceful silence. Oberin and Ellaria are the only two allowed to casually lie on Bukere’s back; in part because so many other dragons find Bukere intimidating, and in part because few dragons have such deeply engrained familiarity and trust. Ellaria is Oberin’s life partner. No one has attempted to pry the story out of the pair about how they met, but they move together with a natural understanding that no one needs to question. They rarely show physical affection, but when Oberin is not on duty they never spend time apart. Since they lack the desire to speak to most other dragons, they are rarely bothered by others, and one may easily forget the two of them are there. But when someone needs a salve or healing ointment, Ellaria is always there, carefully and deftly applying it as needed as soon as someone seeks them out. Ellaria will happily show off their wide array of potions, prepared ingredients, and exquisite vials if one visits Cornifer’s alchemy lab. With excited fluttering and pointing, one would quickly learn healing salves are not Ellaria’s only specialty. They are exceptionally good at creating magic-infused concoctions, as well as all manner of explosive or acidic offense potions. Of course, belonging to a mercenary clan with a garden as bountiful as Persephones’ there is no shortage of healing potions, wraps, and other means of caring for the wounded. Ellaria has easily and happily adapted to becoming the clan doctor of sorts, and has even developed an especially potent and surprisingly delicious healing potion everyone in the clan enjoys.
