Astraea is called Gentle Mother by her clan mates. She is always making sure that everyone is alright and takes care of those who aren’t. She also ensures that everyone is doing their role. She does this by gently inquiring if one has done their chore before she reports to Hades, who makes sure that chores and the like are complete. After all, someone has to ensure that the clan is running smoothly. Astraea has such a soft heart, she cannot stand to boss others around, even if they are slacking.

She is always cheerful, even if circumstances are dire. Her happy, sweet attitude keeps her clanmates going when times are tough. It is in her nature to be innocent of all things evil. The Coatl doesn’t understand why anyone would lie or cheat. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She is often seen as cute by others, and sometimes will be called Cute Mother, instead of Gentle Mother.

Among the things she loves is Hades. The two are complete opposites in most ways, but Astraea still adores her mate. He is strong while she is not, and dark where she is light. As the saying goes, opposites attract -especially in their case. Some don’t understand the love between the pair, but Astraea doesn’t care about the opinions of others when it comes to her personal life.

She hoards all things pink: pink feathers, pink creatures, pink flowers, pink gems, etc.

Astraea was born into a life very much the opposite of Hades. She was born into a lovingly clan who kept her despite her natural white and gray color. Any other clan would have thrown out even if she has pink all over her. She was raised with kindness and love. Being raised in such a way left her a very sweet and kind female. She often made friends and helped anyone who needed it. She especially loves to care for hatchlings. Even in the worst of times her mood would remain hopeful and cheerful.

She never thought she could fall in love with a male like Hades. She remembered being just a young hatchling thinking about the type of mate she'd find and Hades wasn't at all the picture she had but carefully with her boundless kindness and sweetness was able to see through Hades' dark shall and find the kind male within it. Even though their differences were many and even with their natures different they were perfect for each other. Her light mixed with his darkness to create a beautiful show of love that surprised even them.
