"Power rushes through my veins, keeping me alive. Yet it is a half-life, caused by the weight of destiny upon me."
When Sitaria was hatched, on the eve of a Full Moon, the Seer Zeriph delivered a prophecy, the likes of which had never been heard for a hundred years.
When the moon shines full,
When an egg shines bright,
A child will hatch,
A daughter of darkness,
A child of sky,
She will see what few see;
She will see the life-magic.

When the moon is high,
And defeat is nigh,
Her power will shine,
Cleansing the land in blood-fire.

The darkness will fade;
The child will fall;
The deities collide.
Battle shall rage,
And thus comes the end of the world.


Her parents were disturbed to say the least, determined to make sure that their child never fell to the darkness predicted. They sought the help of an spell-mage, Prima. The mage gave them a pendant for Sitaria to wear at all times. The once pure crystal jewel turned bloody red when the young hatchling put it on, matching the crimson swirls that patterned her wings and body.

As Sitaria grows older, her parents await her coming destiny with dread for they know well that grey-eyed Destiny cannot be swayed from her course through any ploy or trickery.
