Treant

Despite being rather stoic and standoffish towards other dragons, Treant is quite gentle to and watchful of nature. He serves as the guardian or protector of the flora that thrive in Vixen's territory, as well as any small creatures that make their homes in that foliage. He rarely talks to dragons beyond his mate, as he has little patience or even respect for them. His sole focus is on the land he protects.

He wasn't ever one much for affection or courting. He bred with Strawberry, a Lightning Skydancer within the clan, twice long ago. She is a wild creature that many of the dragons in the clan (especially back then) fear for being too primitive. This is why he liked her. She didn't waste his time by talking or dance around. She was just herself: a true, wild dragon. That was admirable. After her, there was no one for a long time. And then Toadstools joined the clan. Although she spoke and smiled and laughed, she and him shared something in common: the absolute love for nature and its inhabitants. Fairies liked her company and danced in her presence. Birds felt safe with her and rested on her shoulders. All sorts of insects and small creatures were attracted to her and she never batted them away. He felt respect for her, as he had for Strawberry. And even better, she was a Snapper like him, though reigned from Shadow territory. They soon accepted each other as mates and have been partnered ever since.

Treant can come across as grumpy or frustrating to others, but he means well. He despises small talk and often spends days without saying a single word; often choosing to grunt in replacement of words if necessary. He relies heavily on body language and facial expressions, which his mate doesn't mind. He has been in the clan long, the first Snapper to join, and is highly respected by the clan leaders and other older members. He cares too much for that which he protects, though, and will get very upset if something in his stead is harmed or threatened. That is the only time you'll really hear him talk, when he's angry and defending something; although he certainly growls and roars a lot too.
