Rossë was born to the shadow but meant for the light. She ran from the Tangled Wood as soon as she could, following the sun wherever it led her. Unfortunately it drove her first into the Scarred Wasteland, in circles around tendrils of dripping disease that threatened to coil around her ankles and trap her forever.

She wandered under the path of the sun until she hit water, and the pocketmouse she could not leave behind perched on her head and cooled her feet as Rossë swam towards the only other thing on the horizon she could see-- a Behemoth of a tree that promised her shelter and, likely, food.

The deep forest of the Shrieking wilds did not, in fact, prove much safer, and she learned to fight protecting herself and her new Charge. Following the light once more, she worked her way into the treetops, where the trees were thick enough to support her weight and she was safe from the beasts below. Anorvon was the first Clan she encountered, and she was glad to have other dragons that spoke to her with kindness, and didn't try to eat her for dinner.

Over the coming weeks she would see the light help the forest around her flourish. Shoots exploded out of the ground under the diligent watch of the sun, rising with arms always reaching for the source of their life. She wondered if her light could be as fruitful for others as it was for their home, and decided to stay.

She trained with Ward to hone her survivalist combat skills, and gladly accepted the title of Marchwarden when it was presented her, though her true loyalty lies with the little glowing creature that can always be seen perched on her head. She keeps to the treetops, still, to be close to the Sun, and watches the canopies of the Viridian Labyrinth in faithful diligence.

F A M I L I A R

This pocketmouse has not left Rossë's side for as long as anyone can recall. She was rescued from a steaming membrane that left her paws severely burned as Rosse picked her own way to freedom.

She is wary of anyone who is not her Guardian, but luckily she is easy to miss among the bright armor and markings that identify Rossë as a bringer of the Light.
