Born small and flighty, Efren remembered very little about her past. She remembered friends and people she called more than that-- but now they were gone and her journey was honed in on the ideals that she-- god forbid, was a Queen to the icy domain she called home. She's very friendly, and has a knack for healing so if anyone's in a bind, she's the one to call.

Despite Vel being so.. against the idea that gods exist, she prides herself in the worship of Nystrala, and as such has taken to short time control spells to help fix issues within the city she calls home. .

She didn't know how long she had been flying. A few hours, a couple days, several weeks. Her sense of time had faded long before the hunger pains hit, and still she flew on. She had felt the world closing in on her, weighing her down, crushing her, and when the panic attack peaked, she could think only one thing - run. A rumble of thunder shook her thoughts, and she became aware of how thickly the clouds swirled around her, stifling, smothering. She found herself gasping though there was no lack of air, and her wings cramped. A crack of lightning blinded her and then her senses told her she was falling...

"Unusual weather for June," Ebisu commented, jumping in a puddle. He looked up at the sky with a grin, closing his eyes as the rain hammered his face. It was quite a beautiful thunderstorm in his opinion and it had been going on for quite some time now.

Next to Ebisu his older brother Suijin grunted, his eyes fixed on the clouds. He sat motionless, as though carved from stone. The brothers were rather fond of most storms and this one was no different. Ebisu tried to follow Suijin's unmoving gaze but he couldn't see anything aside from cloud, so he shrugged it off and found another puddle to jump in.

In a movement so fast Ebisu almost missed it, Suijin's wings unfurled and he launched himself into the air, vanishing into the clouds. It would have been a little more bewildering had a figure not appeared near him at almost the same moment. While she may have just been a blurry outline, Ebi could never mistake his aunt. "Aunt Mana! You're home!" The young Wildclaw raced forward, throwing himself at her. She laughed and toppled over with him. "Yes," she smiled, ruffling his head feathers. "I've returned."

Ebi scrambled up, helping his aunt as well. "You left so suddenly, and you missed so much! The Flamecaller came, and she blessed Kosuke! And before that-" Manami smiled and listened as Ebisu caught her up on things she had known to pass with as much intensity as could be expected from one as young as he was. "But why did you go? It was so sudden, I didn't even get to say goodbye." He didn't do well masking the hurt in his voice.

Manami left her hand on his head, smiling kindly. "Sometimes it's important to leave home to make peace with who you really are."

"UGH," Ebisu grumped, wrinkling his nose. He was about to complain about how easily she could be both boring and vague at once when he heard wingbeats. The two of them turned as Suijin landed, shaking the ground. "What was that all about?" Ebisu demanded, stalking over toward his brother.

Manami and Suijin's eyes met, and he lowered his arms slightly, showing the battered and ragged form in his arms. She was so incredibly long and gangly with a softly colored green body. Her body barely rose and fell with her breath. Manami and Suijin shared a meaningful look as Ebisu finally reached his brother and saw her too. "Hey, that's an Imperial! She looks about my age! Who is she?" He looked from Manami to Suijin. Suijin grunted.

"We'll have to wait until she's strong enough to answer us herself," she said simply, though her chest hurt. "Let's get her inside and warm, shall we?"

Xia is what many call god-touched. She was born as a Fae and had many troubles getting her emotions across as such. Not long after she was blessed by her clan with a new form-- a Skydancer. Her emotions were never the same, but at least she felt worthy of such a form.

It took her years to master smiles and feeling like she was happy in a way that meant happy to everyone else and not just frill or crest twitches. One fateful day though she was visited by her god, the Icewarden. As if the idea of meeting a god held not enough power in her heart, she was bestowed a form much more adored than her Skydancer self.

And again she watched the world fall away from under her reach. She grew taller, her small legs and hefty body no longer held her in the same way, nor did her ranges of emotions. She wished to question the god-- but gods never make mistakes.

She knew he had a reason for such a task, such trust but to her she... she felt so lost, so confused, and so not.. herself? Without her mate and a few dragons from Amberspire, she'd have lost her head by now.

Xia is scared. Of her actions and the consequences she may or may not have anymore. She's young, and has no other Imperials with such a rank nearby to connect with-- to talk to-- instead, she's scared. She's a child, with a rank of a god.
