A native from the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Aetherium is one of the oldest and wisest members of the clan and is found most typically sprawled out in the sun like a massive solar panel or tucked away in the water at the shores so that she may still keep an eye on everything while enjoying the waves. She made her way from a neighboring clan, keeping none of her prior breed traits and instead taking to the form of a Ridgeback as if she had been born one all along.

("Hello, tiny one." Faraday had said so gently, all spikes and square jaws and a presence that Aetherium once thought was due to the matriarch's Guardian heritage but learns as she ages that it is merely the dragon herself, when she had scooped the small hatchling up in her great claws, "Hello dearest. You have found a home within the Shifting Expanse. Is that well?"

Aetherium had climbed onto the iridescence of Faraday's scales without pausing, drawn by the warmth and surety and confidence in her very existence that the matriarch had exuded, and has never looked back since. She is home.)
