"Memory is more idelible than ink." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Ancient, experienced, and the dad you're getting whether you wanted him or not, Inkstain never chose leadership. Unexpectedly, he grew into his duties. He is a genuine and doting dragon with a strong paternal instinct. Although he tends to get uppity about his knowledge, and due to his strict background doesn't take any sass or rudeness (he's big on 'respect your elders') this middle-aged tank of a dragon is wise, kind, and perhaps a little too ready to trust at times. Infamously, he holds a pretty harsh grudge. Inkstain was raised under strict parents that were traditional, and set in their almost militaristic ways. Inkstain was taught to fight, to talk politics, to make his way in the world... but when he actually got out there, his stifled childhood merely made him reckless, cocky, and starved of experience. He made a bucketlist, and finshed it in several months. That was until he began to abode by his guardian instincts, and sought strong social bonds. Inkstain met Jadewing, and mistook her as his charge. This was what settled Stegosoma Stronghold. Shortly after, he realised it hadn't been as such - he'd fallen for her! This lasted several strong years, and Inkstain got to saw his children and grandchildren grow up in turn. He and Jadewing fell apart, eventually. Their children left, and she withdrew from him. They parted as mates, but remained as joint leaders. Having never really found his 'charge', Inkstain directed his instincts to rebuilding his clan - one made up of anyone who needed a wing to shelter under, whether it be guiding or protective. |
