Bathyal

Being the sole survivor in his litter, Baythal was treated differently than his older siblings. THe priests told his parents he was frail, sickly, and they warned that he should never enter the lower levels of the Spiral as his body wouldn't be able to handle the pressure. Perhaps it's the fact that he missed out on viewing the lower levels that he never gained a sympathy for those who toiled their lives in those horrid conditions.

Much to his dismay he also wasn't allowed to participate in other activities his siblings took part in such as combat, beast taming and exploring the outer seas. His siblings took notice of his frustration and attempted to bring the world out there to him, often coming back from their adventures with various items and tamed creatures to which Baythal took an immense interest in. He would study the items with intricate perception, writing down every aspect he possible could about these outlandish objects. However, what first appeared as eccentric curiosity would soon take a dark turn.
