Fina

Fina is the child of a blacksmith & a hoardkeeper - she grew up in a forge. She was born near-blind, and her vision is still best in low lighting. She does best distinguishing differing levels of light, and the first thing she truly learned to see was the temperature of her father's forge fire.

She trained as her father's apprentice, learning to hammer out armor and weapons for her clan's fighters. She's a little bit frustrated, though - she's a bright young dragon, who wants to make friends, but leaving the forge's stuffy darkness for brighter pastures ruins her working eyesight for days at a time, and hurts, to boot. Her social circle is necessarily limited to those dragons fond enough of her to visit the stifling forge. But she's creative, and will not rest until she finds some way to truly live as part of a clan, rather than keeping to herself.

Born a Light dragon at the start of the Brightshine Jubilee, Fina is strongly attuned to the magic of her homeland, most especially in its capacities for piercing through the Shade.

Fina expanded her knowledge of the arts of blaksmithing and armor making by becoming the apprentice of the blacksmiths Mira and Rupert. While under their wings, she learned new techniques that she never could have learned from her father; including, most importantly, the ability to infuse her Shade-piercing powers into her weapons, creating blades and arrows that can cut through the Shade itself.
