Biography
Psychically blind, Syntax was born lacking that extrasensory perception unique to his breed. He simply cannot read the moods and emotions of others based off of their magical energies. This is not, however, a disability known to his fellow clanmates, as he is perfectly capable of pretending that he can. Excellent at discerning even the minutest shifts in body language and tone, he simply plays off of others' understanding of Skydancer physiology and never bothers to correct their assumptions.
In an effort to maintain this illusion, Syntax remains aloof and distant from the others. Because he cultivates neither friendships nor lingering attachments, he is viewed as an impartial observer to most clan activities, and he is generally relied upon to settle spats and disputes. He is considered the adjudicator by most of the clan, a position he did not petition for but has accepted all the same. His word is as good as law—unless, that is, a dragon of Rakuna's rank supersedes it—and he takes this job very seriously. A dragon possessing an unyielding sense of honor, he makes no compromises when it comes to dispensing justice or exposing the truth. Most dragons know not to take his decisions personally, but these qualities of his can be hard to swallow; he's not about to win any popularity contests with the others.
