Sitting ahead of you in the classroom is that one kid who barely speaks. That one kid who seems like they have too much on their mind, and despite not acting like the generic crowd, they interest you. And then you notice, his finger constantly touching at the golden piercing through his left ear. With concern, you whisper,

"Toudou...you know, you probably shouldn't fiddle with your piercing. It might get red and swollen."

But he turns to you as he fiddles with the earring, and with a smirk on his face, he gives you the answer:

"It won't swell. It's pretty much as stuck in there as it's going to be."

There's a pause in his voice,

"...I got it done as a kid."

Naoya Toudou grew up a persona user, having awakened to it at the age of seventeen. His views on life and himself having changed since that incident. After graduation, Naoya left japan unexpectantly, only telling his friends that he may see them "some day."

The truth,
He took to traveling, in hopes of finding other persona users or help those to awaken. Throughout his journey, Naoya would take to gambling as a form of income, and after winning big, would return to Japan to settle down. During this time, he met Tatsuya, and adopted Minato. (Or Mintos as he's nicknamed him)

Naoya acts like a goofball almost all of the time, and he also has a bit of an ego, calling himself "The Emperor". If you caught him at the arcade, he'd issue a challenge, and probably win. Yes, almost fourty and he's still a child at heart.

True to his "occupation", Naoya was the one to discover Akira—abandoned—and know exactly what this child would be capable of, something not even Tatsuya could sense. He had intentions to raise him himself at first, but with Minato already proving to be a handfull, he dropped the child into Tatsuya and Jun's care. Because of this, he considers them just as close a family as Minato is.
