Their origin is unknown, but popular theory is that they are a non-native species that conquered the trek to the heart of the plaguelands, just to prove it could be done. Modern specimens appear to share characteristics with the Contagion itself; they are covered by a thin membrane that occasionally produces delicate, twisting tendrils, which often slough off or transfer to their victims with direct physical contact. At a glance these are frequently mistaken for blood vessels. Infectious properties of the highest concentration are maintained within these. The tendrils have also developed a kind of microvilli, which may burrow into the victim’s skin if not washed away within a timely manner, to create easy-access channels into the body. The result is an accelerated spread of unsavory afflictions. Although this may be considered a Spawnie’s most dangerous attribute, touching any part of this dragon will result in a wealth of misery.

Schez was no more than a hatchling when his long legacy to power began, his wonderful tale all started as an egg riding in the knapsack of a thief. Schez's parents Ossibus and Sansirus were among the higher officials, only a few positions away from serving right under their god of Plaugebringer. At the time, Schez's clan was large enough to have several assistants watching over the eggs as their mothers performed their tasks. One night two hooded dragons broke into the nursery attempting to steal the eggs for a poor nearby clan. it was almost certain that the kidnappers would be found and chased in pursuit, of course, that happened. However at the speed which the guards were chasing one of the kidnappers a single egg flew out, one of the guards dove to save it, sadly it was picked up in the rushing tides of water. The egg was carried all the way deep into the Tidelords territory where by sheer coincidence The Plaugebringer herself on a meeting with Tidelord for more resources. As time passes Sche'z was placed as a young prince under the Plaugebringers wing |
