Biography

» a b o u t « Of Arcane Samuela may be, it is said that she would have been better off hatched in Shadowbinder or the Plaguebringer's domains. A grimly dressed female in darkly tattered clothes and a face hidden under a hood--looking very much like a wraith--it is of little wonder she frightens some the younger hatchlings she comes across, especially when she speaks. Though her voice may be little but a whisper, the montone distinct to the Faes stand out as clear as a bell--but it is a bell more suited for a funeral than one of light and joy, for underneath her emotionless tone, there seems to be something quite off, depite Neara's claims to the contrary. It is made even worse by the fact that the Fae claims to have been alone at birth, and while in other cases, this would have been viewed as a gift upon Sornieth by the Gods...some have not been able to shake the thought that Samuela had been cursed before birth and was either tossed aside by the Arcanist or that she had been a natural born dragon that was left to die by her parents whom knew that their offspring would be evil. Originally, Samuela had been known as Sgail Lasair's Witch, the one to go to for remedies and herbs--the dragon one would go to if they needed something healed--until she got involved with the clan's then Warlock, Morrigan. The Fae had been intrigued by how the Skydancer worked (and, not to mention how Morrigan was a female, and up until that point, every Warlock Samuela had heard of had been a male), what magicks Morrigan used, and how powerful they must be for the Warlock to be able to change the breeds of any dragon who so desired it. At first, Samuela would only try to watch the Warlock go about her work, hoping to get at least some answers to her questions by observing the other female. This did not go unnoticed by Morrigan, who eventually invited the Fae to join her and learn alongside her. | o[/transparent] |
While others may have backed out for fear of getting involved with what many believed was messing with the Shade, curiousity had the better of Samuela, and she agreed. As she learned the Warlock's ways, she found that she came to like it more than being a Witch. And so, she decided to leave her old ways of being a Witch behind her, and come into her own as a Warlock, taking to it like a bird takes to the sky While at first she would act as one of the two Warlocks of the clan (leaving the choice of which one they wanted to go to up to the clan members), she would, eventually, take Morrigan's place once the Skydancer left Sgail Lasair, becoming the clan's only Warlock. (Some of the more ridiculous rumors involve Samuela as a hatchling murdering her parents and nestmates, which, while untrue and highly unprobable--as what hatchling could even dream of overpowering a fully grown dragon?--is not disputed by the female, whom finds these stories amusing.) Her clanmates, however, need not worry, as it only is those who have crossed her whom will face her wrath, and while some can be quite annoying at times, they are none of them. She is not one to take loyalty lightly, and if someone were to cross one of those that she considers her own, she would find her own way to get back at them, hunting them down like a thief in the night. Harming innocents, such as hatchlings and the elderly, is something she views as the worst one things one can do and one of the quickest ways to bring about her ire...and what she does to those that do, no one knows, but it can be imagined that it is nothing painless. Indeed, Samuela is one you would rather have on your side, than one you would have as an enemy; to those who have won her trust, she is incredibly loyal and would lay her life down for. As for those who have crossed her... It is probably the last thing they have ever done.. | o[/transparent] |
