As I ventured out, I had no idea where I'd go, I just knew that I'd end up somewhere where I was needed. I hadn't planned on staying long, but I fell in love- with the dragons, the atmosphere, I don't know. This is the place that I've come to call home.

After my nest hatched, I watched many of the babes grow up and head off to fight in the Great War, I've rarely seen one to stay. When Resistance returned, I knew that she would not stay, but I had held hope. Foolish of me. She dumped Vible with me before running off again. Barely a week later, I received a note from the War Officials. She'd died.
I didn't know what to do. I was so mad at her for fleeing, but I couldn't help but think that Vible was my second chance.

As Vible grew, I knew that she'd inherited an adventurous trait from one of the Clan. I was sad to hear that she felt ready to leave the nest, but I was also relieved. The fear that she'd grown up with- she wouldn't let it get the better of her.

My days have become numbered. The illness has progressed, and I'm afraid no amount of lies could hide the truth. I hope that Vible will understand. I wish not to leave her, but to stay... would be unbearable.

I'm afraid to reach out, to let Vible know. My joints ache, and now blood covers some of my bandages. Each day grows more and more painful, I'm near giving up.
