~ TYPHOON ~

WATER REPRESENTATIVE

"Ha ha, young one...the future is for me to know, and you to find out~"

ROLE ~
The Water representative for the clan. Responsible with expeditions into Water territory as well as the head prophesier. Will also help train dragons on how to swim and hold their breath underwater. She even holds swim classes for hatchlings.

DESCRIPTION ~
Typhoon; the enigmatic Water representative from the far seas of the North. She is evasive in personality, preferring to speak in vague phrases rather than respond in straightforward sentences. However, the one thing she's open about is her origins as a fae, which she is quite pleased to point out did not give her a monotonous voice. She's a wise dragon and always seems to know what's about to happen before it occurs; which some members believe is attributed to her mysterious Water element and the supposed ties it has to prophetic abilities. Others think she's just observant, and when asked she replies, "Yes, to both!" She collects seashells.

CHARGE ~
Although not born a guardian, Typhoon has taken it upon herself to have a charge for 'authenticity' as she calls it. Her charge is her Wavebreak Snarler who she calls Oracoral.

HISTORY ~

Lord's Prophet

Typhoon came from remote location in the Sea of a Thousand Currents known as the Prophesizer's Depths. Their she trained hard with her family to hone her prophetic abilities for the greater good of Sornieth. However finding a job, or even place in the world was not easy if she were to stay put, since all her neighbors and her neighbors’ neighbors were also prophets. Sad as it was she had to move somewhere else to find business, which eventually led her to Frostbite’s little curious clan. She took an immediate liking to him and said yes to his proposition of her joining the clan...which he hadn’t even offered yet. She quickly explained herself as a water prophesier and that her inclusion would be wholly beneficial to the clan. That seemed to, mostly confuse him, but also sway him in the end.

When Frostbite’s daughter, Crystal was born, Typhoon woke up screaming madness. Something about darkness and the tainted child. Ever since her hatching the Water representative was more quiet, even around her once admired leader, and she would not be caught dead near the mirror herself.

During the Bounty of the Elements Typhoon senses the great disturbance but never imagined it was so grave. An entire God disappearing? Unheard of. It could spell the doom of them all! However, Frostbite was no help. It seemed that chaos was spreading throughout the world, but he had no idea how to deal with any of them. It was so bad that the clan was split amongst themselves conducting their own expeditions and missions to try and solve these catastrophes. Typhoon didn’t fault the old tundra though, in fact, there was something else even more troubling...something terrible was coming to their own clan...but what?

It did not take long for Typhoon to find out. Two seekers of political asylum, Frostheart and Chillspine, had had their first clutch, and Typhoon knew something was amiss. She watched as the eggs hatched and what she saw was an anomaly. Born of a skydancer and a wildclaw were two skydancer siblings, and one...guardian?! Such a feat was simply implausible, incomprehensible, inconceivable! Typhoon was certain that meant the guardian child was some sort of dark agent, but Frostbite had not reached so low that he would harm a child, especially not when his own daughter was accused of being tainted as well. It all came apart in the end though, as the guardian was exiled, returned and demanded the tundra step down or split the clan into civil war.

During this Great Tension that divided the clan Typhoon stood with her old leader, Frostbite. She saw the ice guardian as nothing more than another result of the Bounty of the Elements, a tainted reminder of the worldwide disasters and disturbances. However, Frostbite’s time was up, and Solstice claimed the throne. Typhoon begrudgingly accepted her as queen, and life seemed to return to normal. Yet there were still questions left unanswered...Tidelord, where are you?

AQUATIC AIDES ~

Wavebreak Snarler
Oracoral the guardian bear and Typhoon's charge. The two have an inseparable bond. The bear is often seen helping Typhoon read the future through the waves and bubbles within the clan's oracle pools.

Seawater Savior
Wavelance helps keep Typhoon's magical capabilities sharp. The two duel and spare, testing the guardian's battle skills on a daily basis.

Bubbling Goblin
Shorethian is Firestrike's first contact with the Tidelord. Negotiating expeditions peacefully as possible. In more recent years Typhoon has had the goblin contact other Water clans as the entire flight continues their desperate search for the lost deity.

Spirit of Water
Hydrosa, as an embodiment of Water, typically assists Typhoon in battle; or with any task needing Water magic, such as maintaining the magical properties of the oracle pools.

Fathomsearch Ambassador
Shelldon Riptide was enlisted, by Typhoon, to aid with the water dragons' effort to find the Tidelord. While they met under dire circumstances the two get along quite swimmingly. Shelldon sympathizes with water dragons' loss; the Beastclans may not have a god, but he figures it's like loosing anyone near and dear to you. In moments of down time the two reminisce on their times back in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, longing for home within the warmer waters of the continent.

Tsunami Gem Guardian
Seasprey wards over any magical gemstones, as well as priceless Water artifacts located within the bowels of the clan's hoard.

Flowing Taurus
Tuarvian watches the stars, reading what the future holds and keeps an eye out for magical phenomena.

Larimar Tidelord
The Ripplelord. The clan prides itself on its life-size and stunning ice carvings that guard the outskirts of the castle, but these deity statues are special. The reveal of the Obelisks and some sort of impending threat was most worrisome, in an attempt to preemptively combat this threat the most talented artisans and mages of the clan gathered together to create special statues, living statues. These statues would hopefully serve as powerful allies and wards against the troubled times ahead. The Ripplelord specifically somewhat placates Typhoon as she mourns the unresolved disappearance of her elemental god.

RELATIONSHIPS ~

Solstice [Queen]:
Typhoon seems to begrudgingly respect the new Queen. She disproves of the guardian for her parents were a wildclaw and a skydancer, yet she appeared as a different breed entirely once hatched. Breed transformation is one thing, typically tied with a profound emotion or development as a dragon, but as a hatchling? Typhoon believes the young monarch to be tainted, but she has no further evidence. The ice guardian seems to be just as enigmatic as Typhoon herself.

Frostbite [Founder]:
Frostbite doesn't particularly like Typhoon because she's such an odd dragon. Her enthusiasm and mysterious ways sort of grate on the old, rigid founder. The feeling isn't mutual though, as Typhoon appears to like and respect Frostbite; saying that his past was dark and cloudy, but his future is bright and full of promise. However, she doesn't like his daughter, Crystal, for reasons she's unwilling to explain. Whenever asked she only shakes her head in frustration and says dark times are ahead for her.

Buruk [Rival]:
Scoffs at the idea of a non-water dragon prophet. Did such abilities appear in other elements? Yes, on occasion, but the best of which will always be of the Water Flight, that is their claim to fame after all. She would think nothing of Buruk if it were not for her ranking as a top royal advisor, even above the Water rep. That is what truly boils her blood. The pearlcatcher pays the guardian no mind though, no matter how vocal she is about her disapproval.
