Exiled Scion
Amhar's life began in exile, his parents a dragon of noble birth and one of humble, the pair only wanting to build a family and to have a life together and nothing else, but Amhar's grandfather couldn't stand the idea of his heir wasting his time with someone lesser, so he sent assassins to destroy their fragile peace. In the end both of Amhar's parents were killed despite it only being their mission to dispose of Gwen. With their task both accomplished yet a failure with Arthur dead, the assassins disappeared, leaving the nest untouched.
Before the clutch could succumb to rot the devastated lair was happened upon by a traveling salesman, the dragon kind enough to bury the dead and take the eggs from the lair, incubating them himself as he traveled toward the Windstar Bay, the eggs hatching just before his crossing into Wind territory. Amhar knew little of his clutch mate, the pair of them split up in a marketplace where several clans were doing business, their temporary foster parent offering them to whatever kind soul he could find, as he could not take care of hatchlings whilst working. Neither of them were even named at the time but Amhar wonders from time to time what happened to his sibling and what their life was like. Amhar ended up in Balisium's claws when it was still a small Clan, the Tundra being cared for by almost all of the older dragons equally, though he holds a soft spot for Vakaria who coddled him the most at the time, taking him along with her during her work scouting their territory. A few months after Aithusa became part of the clan Amhar asked for her assistance in finding out what had happened to his parents, grieving deeply when her scrying revealed what had happened while he was still inside his shell. After the revelation he vowed to live well and do right by the memory of his parents. Though he has yet to settle on a craft he studies a great deal and does his best to serve his clan in any way possible, every so often toying with the idea of trying to find the assassins that changed everything. |
