Designated Scribe;; Pebblewater is that guy you'd see wandering down a river, with a sketch-book and notebook in hand, staring at the birds in the trees and admiring the nature all around. In fact, that's exactly what Pebblewater was doing when he first met Rivermonster. He would spend all his time down at the river, sitting next to a rock, writing down his thoughts and sketching any creature that walked or swam in front of him. Rivermonster noticed him and admired his passion for nature. As a river goddess, she especially reflected his love for water and water-life. Eventually their love grew out of their compatibility and shared interests/loves. Pebblewater's natural talent for writing eventually took notice of one of the clan leaders, Shadowclaw. After discussing it with Vixen (the matriarch), Shadowclaw asked if Pebblewater would become the clan's scribe. He was surprised to be given such an important role in the clan, since he always saw himself as an anonymous onlooker (and was happy with that). But he accepted the role and took it upon himself to write for the clan, while still making time to write recreationally. He is especially a lover of poems and loves writing things for Rivermonster. He is still absolutely captivated by and in love with her. He is truly a romantic at heart. His first son, Corsair, decided to stay within the clan and the two have been very close ever since. He puts a lot of energy and devotion into father-son bonding time, and Corsair truly appreciates it as the two get along like best friends. He has also become fond of Corsair's mate, Morpho, who is a very warm and thoughtful creature. He approves of her and is happy for his son. Pebblewater also maintained contact with his daughter, Kalayla, who was an active traveling dragon for a long time. She has finally returned to her home clan and has promised to stay. However, prior to this new arrangement, she had been traveling for many months and would visit sometimes but always set back out. Her parents were proud of her but were eagerly awaiting her return (since she promised that she would stay if she ever returned home again). However, Pebblewater gave his blessing to her long ago, and would've been equally proud and happy if she decided to never return home. He knows she inherited his wanderlust and didn't want her to ever feel stuck or tied down. Luckily, that didn't end up being the case, since she returned home in the end, missing that feeling of home. Speaking of home, Pebblewater followed suit of many in the clan, and tried to connect to his home clan. Much had changed in their clan. They had become Shade-touched. His maternal grandmother didn't recognize him. This saddened him slightly but he was at least happy that his maternal grandfather responded to his letter and acknowledged him. That was enough. Vixen's Clan was his home and he was happy here. He was sad that tragedy had befallen his home clan but was glad to be able to at least make some connection to them after all this time. Pebblewater is not superbly attached to his familiar, but the two have been together for a while now. Thus, they are very used to each other's company. He originally found the Earth Sprite on one of his wanderings. It was equally curious about him and so it followed him. After time, they just became very familiar with each other and have since made no plans to part ways. Many have remarked upon the strange-ness of how earthy of dragon he is despite the fact that he has Water eyes. When asked why he is the way he is, Pebblewater shrugs. "I don't know" he'll tell you honestly, then laugh. "But being a Water dragon doesn't stop me from appreciating all forms of nature, so I don't see why it matters."
