Opalite is a dedicated and compassionate leader, and she cares about her people deeply, though her position as head of the Night Council keeps her so busy she seldom has time to spend with her people.

Originally, Opalite had no desire to lead. When our clan collapsed following the deaths of many of our original members, she stepped in to shepherd the remaining dragons, but she always assumed the position would be temporary, that in time we would elect a new leader and she would step down. The Council was formed not long after the initial power vacuum was filled by Opalite, but instead of her stepping down, she found herself roped into continuing in her role as leader.

She's grateful for the trust and love of the people of Dusk, and for the cooperation she receives from the denizens of the Night Circus, who before her bowed to no leader and were a lawless and chaotic faction among our clan. These days, Opalite has accepted and embraced her role as leader of the Council, and she's satisfied with her lot in life.
