Born in a highly religious clan at the base of the Behemoth, she was raised deeply devout to the Gladekeeper. However, she chafed against the rules and systems of her clan, seeing the way it manipulated weaker members into a rigid hierarchical structure. The older she grew, the more she actively fought against the system, and quickly gathered a halo of friends and followers who relied on and supported her. However, everything changed one afternoon in their temple. While she was arguing against the clan leaders, her wings began to glow with the pale green of the Gladekeeper's blessing. Now ordained by the goddess, she was catapulted to the top of the clan hierarchy. She was named 'Pandora', the All Gifted. Despite her new power, Pandora didn't slip into her role easily. From what she understood, the Gladekeeper had chosen her based on her own choices and merits (rather than by birth as other members of the clan had been). She'd clearly, without realising it, been executing the Gladekeeper's will on instinct. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that the Gladekeeper's will was inherent in her, and that the choices she made were, by nature, divinely approved. From this grew a powerful messiah complex. She refused to follow the clan's orders, and couldn't be threatened because of her new status. She used her power to begin to fix things for those who needed it, slowly restructuring the clan to be based on individual freedom. Her will could change with the wind, and one day, she decided she would leave. She could spread the good word of freedom and prosperity, and use her newfound blessings to help clans all over the world. Despite her clan's protestations (she'd learned to tune them out a long time ago), she left to see the world. Her journeys, in her eyes, were a blinding success. She found she had more charisma than actual magical power, but made this work to her advantage. She inspired revolutions, campaigned for rights, and found her fair share of adoration along the way. And she always left before the consequences set in—all she saw were the liberations she brought about. If she'd returned, she'd have noticed that only some of them worked long term. But she was too busy following her goddess-approved instincts. She reached Clan Concord with a similar aim. However, this time the consequences came for her faster than expected. She allied with a local beastclan to help free the dragons from Eris' 'tyranny'—she still maintains that she was right to call it that—and they fought for her until Eris was chained in her own basement. Then, with the clan being weakened, they turned on her. She joined Eris in chains. What followed was a day of painful realisation for both dragons. At first they argued, lashing out at each other out of fear, pain, and righteous fury. Then the weight of the situation settled on both of them. With a bone-deep chill, Pandora realised the recklessness of her actions. Eris, having come to a realisation of her own, agreed to work with the other fae to break out of the prison and free the clan. Luckily, by the time they got out, the rest of the clan was in the middle of freeing itself. Joining the fight, they soon beat the beastclan back with minimal casualties. Somewhat humbled, Pandora decided to stay in Clan Concord and try to learn from Eris. Being another chosen one, but with a vastly different outlook, she felt they could benefit from spending time together. She was a little shocked when Eris asked her to be co-ruler of the clan, but took on the position readily. They now rule with a council, tempering each others' flaws and bettering the clan as a team. TO ADD: Growing crush: her admiration of the older fae soon grew into feelings for her, though she kept them hidden for a long time. Their budding partnership seemed to precious to ruin with romance. She just tried to be there for Eris where she could. Eris' breakdown: in her attempts to be less reckless and let others make their own decisions, she didn't interfere as Eris' issues got worse. She debated whether to step in or not, and in the mean time, Eris collapsed completely. Pandora was eaten up with guilt, and vowed to make amends however she could. ▬▬ ADDITIONAL ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
