Most Keyblades the great Earthshaker encountered are forged around significant objects or ideas. The one from which Master's Defender was pulled was instead built with definitive purpose and watched over the threshold between light and dark.

Master's Defender is one of the few dragons in the clan with the title of "master." As such, he is the one in charge of educating and training up young dragons. Should you ask him for advice he has a wealth of experience he'll draw upon, though he will not shy away from admiting when he doesn't know something. Master's Defender and [Xehanort] sharpen their minds with regular (and often intense) games of chess.
