Sakura

Sakura was found on the edge of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, unconscious and with a bizarre pair of golden wings seemingly connected to her normal ones. When she awoke, she had no memories except for her name. Having no other place to go, Sakura decided to stay with the clan that found her, incredibly grateful for their kindness. Although she was told she was not a water element dragon, due to her wind-colored eyes, she immediately felt a sense of belonging near the crashing waves.

She soon discovered that she possessed a peculiar power, one which allowed her to hear the whispers of the world through the water and earth. Every bubble was a new story, each ripple, a vision. She could find light in the darkest of times, and viewed even bleak omens as gifts to be treasured. Her connection to the natural world makes her incredibly protective of all things, and she would willingly give up everything to save the life of another. Blessed with incredible luck, she never seeks out answers; they always find her first. Due to her uncanny ability to craft knowledge of the past, present, and future, she was given the title of prophetess and assisted in leading the way for her clanmates. Although she was content with her life, and happy to be with the clan, something continued to stir in the back of her mind, even as the water told her things about herself that she could not remember.

She supported the rebellion that ousted Poneros from power, fighting valiantly alongside her friends in order to overthrow the ruthless dictator. Afterwards, the clan decided to leave, convinced that they all needed a new start in a different land. Sakura supported the decision, even as the water, without explanation, fell silent, refusing to speak with her. The strange golden wings, a phenomenon that none could explain and she had grown to live with, seemed to grow heavier.

As soon as they left the Sea of a Thousand Currents, the brilliant golden wings began to blacken as if infected, worsening with each day they traveled. As they darkened, Sakura's condition worsened, growing weaker as each day passed. The group had barely made it to the nature territory, two of her clanmates carrying Sakura in their talons, when the wings blackened completely, sending her into a comatose state.

Thus she remained, with her clanmates trying everything they could to revive her. All efforts fruitless, some decided that they needed to return her to the water, her home, with hopes that she would reawaken. And so the clan, which had been together for so long, split apart, and her companions carried her back to the domain of the Tidelord. As soon as she was laid by the Sea of a Thousand Currents, her blackened wings sprung into life, shaking the darkness, glowing as bright as the Lightbringer herself. And so she awakened, with the water singing, crying, almost, with joy, at the sight of its beloved seer.
