[img]410x10[/img] Anthea felt the flicker of magic between her eyelashes. Through the gaps of her teeth, behind her eyelids. In the smallest spaces existed a connection to a world she could not understand. She would touch upon sweet sweven and dip her head to lap at the sickly elixir that would trickle from streams of gold and pink. Her journey to the clan was not met with solitude. She sought and found the encouragement of her lover, and the word ‘home’ began to root within her wary heart, until it grew too fierce to move. A place in which to rest. And most importantly, to explore. Anthea could no longer ignore her dreams. What started as somewhat playful curiosity grew into a strange ache in the pit of her heart. Her nose, once turned to the winds, was cast down upon books. She absorbed each word, each letter and symbol, letting the arcane education consume her until she could start to bleed the magic into the world outside of her own body. How her heart lifted into her head, light and merry beyond recognition, watching her powers start to blossom fruitful and in waves. And then, Kori was born into the world. With her bright eyes shimmering and lashes shining with that same magic Anthea once possessed. A creature hovering above the abyss of the unknown, torn between never knowing and knowing too much. Anthea recalled the joy she felt upon discovering her own magic. How her body gushed with an overwhelming peace and pride. She knew, then, she would teach Kori the same. And though her intention was to merely teach her daughter, she soon found keeping to one student proved a complex and impossible task. |
