Tawhiri came to the kinship 3 years ago with his mate, Zae. The cool and level headed imperial was quite the contrast to his partner. While Zae was disliked at first, he fit right in. Finding a purpose came easy to Tawhiri. He'd always loved solving puzzles and working out ways to protect the kinship's secret was a perfect way for him to put his talent to use. Torriku, the founder, titled him the kinship's Cryptologist.

Cryptology was harder than it looked. Tawhiri had to also apply social skills where needed, as he often had to work with the treasurer to make sure the clans security was up to snuff. There were also times that he was asked to open the hardest locked chests the kinship could find. Who knew what was in them? There were sometimes he almost died because some beast was locked inside! Despite the dangers and hard work, Tawhiri loved his job, almost was much as he loved his mate Zae. He stuck by the strongheaded Nocturne through thick and thin, and that included the pairs next obstacle.

Change is hard. Tawhiri knew in his heart that things couldn't stay the same forever. Torriku moved the clan to Greatwyrm's Breach, then retired. Young Arte took over. Zae and Arte butted heads. It all happened quite fast. He was not ready for the suddenness of this change, but like the calm, collected dragon he'd always been, he helped calm Zae's anger and became a voice of reason. It was time to leave, they decided. He passed his notes on to the Kinship's new treasurer, Bumble, for the future. Then the pair packed up their belongings, bid fond farewells to their family of 3 years, and took flight into the winds of the world. Where they'd end up, neither knew. It was a new adventure, one they were ready to embrace.
