RC had always been a free spirit, even as a child. Born to an average family in the shifting expanse, she mixed with in with the ‘wrong’ crowd, and joined a group of swashbucklers as a teenager. Her time there made her an agile thief. She traveled the world, and collected many of the world’s treasures.

But soon she decided to quit this lifestyle, and joined a circus instead. There she finally got an education, something she refused when she was a child. She refused it because being educated in the shifting expanse means being forced to work in the labor force, and she didn’t like being tied down to a soul-sucking, corporate job. However, she was finally convinced to study some tinkering skills after her circus sponsored her. Learning how gain more control over her lightning magic, she was now able to make simple devices, such as her steampunk wings, which allowed her to fly faster.

In this circus she also learned various fire skills, though these were not out of fire magic, but rather something that’s produced by her machines that she wears on her at all times. One of her most spectacular stunts is running around the tent at terrifying speed, as flames shoot out behind her.
