Arthur arrived with Eames from a disbanding clan into Clan Cairne and serves as a go between and ambassador to the Den of the Dreaming Lotus with his mate, Eames. However, he is somewhat more reserved and practical than his other half. Arthur prefers to have a plan, Eames prefers to wing it, and between the two of them they usually get things done.

He is serving as a less-enthusiastic surrogate parent for Angharad, as part of his initiation in to Clan Cairne. He's not wholly certain what exactly one does with a hatchling - or even a young dragon that is slowly getting larger and larger - but he has warmed up to Angharad quite a bit in the time they've spent together. He identifies a little with the frustration of feeling out of place.
