Valkhuna has an incredibly dark sense of humor that more often than not frightens her clanmates. Despite this--and the fact that she is a carrier for several deadly diseases which she can manipulate at will--there is no one they trust more to take care of them when they are sick. Though hatchlings are initially frightened of her, they soon learn that she will never allow any harm to come to them.

For, as she has boasted to her clanmates many times, if any creature ever threatens the children, she will be the first one to rip its throat out.
