Hex is never quite sure how he ended up as the father of this clan. There was something about the tireless and fearless little Fae that worked towards taming the lightning of the Shifting Expanse that drew him to her, and something about their work that made him never leave. While not the smartest of the clan, he provides a good amount of strength and simple ideas that sometimes pass the overthinkers by.

He is one of the main hunters of the clan, and keeps with Mirror mentality of running hunts with whoever's nearby at the time. There have been many times he's nearly left the Expanse with packs, but each time he's returned to the lair to see what's happened in his absence and to store away the day's kills. He is immensely proud of his clan, and quick to anger when facing those who sneer at it.

While he may have a temper, he also has a determination to know all he can about how other types of dragons live their lives. Hex has spent a ridiculous amount of time learning how Faes communicate their emotions, and he and Fiera have long devised their own language. While a Mirror's horns are nowhere near as flexible as a Fae's crests, the combination of them and his wings have allowed Hex to flawlessly understand and communicate with all of the many Fae in his clan. They love him for it, and he's more than happy to be able to talk to them all without the awkwardness others have.
