One look at Nerija and it is obvious that she is a born leader. Her sharp, cold eyes regard you, calculating, breaking you down into your strengths and weaknesses. She knows how to use you, how to find the best in others and bring it forward, and has the charisma that makes others want to serve her.

Nerija is militaristic to a fault. She sees everything as a fight for survival and acts accordingly. Although she will not hesitate to take council from others when she respects their knowledge (particularly Ahnar and Rau), to challenge and go against her word simply for the sake of doing so is not highly advised. Some have called her ruthless, even outright cruel. It is known that Nerija rules the clan with laws of tooth and claw; her title as The Heartless is well-earned.

In her mind, she merely does what she must. She deeply values all members of the clan, and her near-constant push for personal improvement (if not perfection) is supposed to benefit those she berates. They must be the best they can be - or, in extreme cases, they do not belong in her clan. After all, survival out on the frigid floes is never easy, and driving the clan hard is the only way she knows how to protect them.
