{ history }
Taemis was gilded at best, unlike his beloved who bore the name of
the sun. He made himself through less than good means, and could have been called a crook and a thief. Little is known of his past to the rest of the clan, even to Dawn herself, only that he is with her and has been since they were young.
While Dawn had set herself to make the clan in the good name of her
god, she slowly began her search for those to accompany her, or to join. Taemis, on the other hand, happened upon her by chance. Originally he was from a band of traveling bandits, all of which were mirrors, that were like most others packs of the breed. They cared for little more than their hunt, and in his youth, he looked for excitement rather than companions.
It was late in the evening, they were making arrangements for the
camp that would last for a week or so at most, and he saw her sitting among the pools of the Tsunami Falls. He considered it a little strange, a single guardian on her own with seemingly no one around, but the moment was fleeting, and so were his thoughts about it. Their meetings happened by chance from then on out, and at first, Taemis though her to be entertaining if for the time being. Dawn was fun to tease, and although he feared the sharp end of her blade and her tall frame, she was naive in most circumstances.
She spoke little to him at first, as Dawn interacted rarely with others,
and having only just a short while before decided to forge a path dedicated to her god. Slowly, as Dawn spoke to Taemis, he found her intriguing. There was innocence and a strong sort of purity in her that he did not have, or ever recalled having, and there was passion. Teasing and playful wit gave way to interest, dashing grins to quiet looks where he would listen to her speak for hours on end when not long ago she was fascinated by the grandiose tales he told to her. Without so much as trying, the Guardian had roped the Mirror in.
Although, such a simple thing as letting the pieces fall together would
not be as "exciting," especially according to Taemis' stories. As it is known, Mirrors will follow the hunt, and Taemis will follow excitement where it leads him and he has little care for much else. Now, though, he has found himself wanting to follow a golden Guardian who towers above him and had a winged sword at her side.
Taemis had to chose then, where to go and who to follow; the familiar
gang of mirrors he had spent so many passing months with were leaving, and would not see it fit to listen to a blinded, simple Guardian. Almost bitterly, Taemis fell away from the life of excitement he had led, for he chose Dawn in the end.

mischievous, sarcastic, manipulative, witty, charismatic in his youth, taemis was nothing short of a rascal-- a trickster and perhaps leaning towards selfish, he had more love for games and adventure than anything else. with such a love for those games and fun, naturally, his wit and charm would come into age, as they were necessary to get to his end goals. as he's aged, he's not so much as devilish and as much of a thief as he was when he was younger, but he does throw the occasional quip or trick in order to keep himself entertained. to many of the younger members of the clan, he's earned the position of being quite the story teller. |
