Rosetta was the original founder of Avarosa, though it went by a different name long ago. The only thing linking Rosetta and humor pools was Virus, who was raised by her and Ianthe to lead the clan after they both left; Ianthe to serve in an isolated shadow clan, long forgotten, and Rosetta to fight along her mate upon the ranks of Tidelord. Even after her mate, Incognito, was killed in battle, she continued in the midst of war to avenge her fallen mate and to earn Tidelord's appreciation, ever a leader at heart. When rumors of release spread among her league, only letting the greatest warriors go back to her clan, she approached Tidelord, begging for her release as she had grown weary in battle. Impressed by her honesty and dedication to a clan that never mourned for her, he allowed it, only under the circumstance that she would continue fighting against beastclan forever more, and honor her deity... under most circumstances. While ever loyal and pliant to follow the lord's commands, Rosetta was never the militant type, only hardened by the struggles of war and her loss of a mate. Her return was unexpected and brief, only being recognized by Virus and Daruke, despite his illness. She quickly became acquainted with the rest of the clan, known for her warm and loving personality and motherly habits. Calypso realized her natural leadership, and quickly transferred what waning power she had in the hopes of the clan flourishing again, ever dying under her own responsibilities. With the success of obtaining the clan, Rosetta sought out Tidelord for the last time, pleading for the power to lead her clan indefinitely, realizing her destiny was intertwined with the fate of the clan. In his blessing, she became ever youthful and bore the colors of not only the thousand currents, but also the divine runes ebbing softly in his personal temple. To this day, she leads in the hope of making Tidelord proud, and to assist those that need help all over Sornieth. Then, it happened. "Good morning." Rosetta doesn't bother turning to the entrance, raising a clawed hand in dismissal as she waves the intruder away. "I already told you, Virus, I'm fine." "I am certainly not Virus, and you are certainly not fine." This catches her attention, and she makes the mistake of turning around to confront the raspy voice. She winces reflexively, catching sight of the numerous twitching and shuddering red eyes on the guardians body, darting from place to place in interest and leaking occasionally. She thinks back to Jericho's accidental transformation, the lidded eyes blinking lazily on the fae's body; dark and all focused wherever her frontal ones would wander. Ghost's are nothing like that; unsynced and rapidly blinking at any given moment, while her original eyes would be locked seemingly on an unidentifiable place, wandering off slightly, before she blinked and returned her gaze. She turns around just as quickly. "Virtue has already taken care of my checkup for this month, though I appreciate your concern-" "Virtue has no say in this matter. You know very well she is sick too." This makes Rosetta freeze, wondering exactly where Ghost is going with this. She remembers the day after her return, Ghost eyeing her outstretched claw in greeting, and her tail twitching in discomfort as Virtue apologized profusely for her mentors rudeness. claiming "She isn't a fan of germs, um, and newcomers, she's an amazingly intelligent doctor though... saved our members many times over..." and Ghost narrowed her eyes at the golden guardian, seemingly saying 'I'm not bothering to explain this to you, so I'll let her do it'. Before she realizes it, Ghost is in front of her, sterile smelling peppermint on her breath, like bitter mouthwash that burns the inside of your maw. She realizes fuzzily she's wearing her gloves; so tight they seem to blend in with her patchy blue skin. "What do you mean by si-" Suddenly, she's on the ground, a blue grotesque form towering over her, and she reacts instantly. Light beams from her body in warning and panic, but it's quenched by the dark moving mass climbing on top of her, and she slowly realizes that her body is subdued in paralysis, only her breath coming out in quickened puffs. For a moment, the guardian's eyes seemingly glow in the shadow of her lair, and blurry tentacles are spouted from her back grotesquely, but she blinks and it's gone, just the silhouette of a dragon blocking her view from her ceiling lamp. "You. You are sick. And I'm sick of it. We all are." The only thing that registers in her brain is 'You are sick." before there's a sharp object pressing against her throat, making it hard to breathe. She fruitlessly tries to get her limbs to move, to do anything, but she remains still, her eyes locked on the twisted features on their supposed healer. "You water dragons. So sentimental. I don't know why they didn't leave you in your crumbling territory with the rest of your pitiful kind." The words burn into her skin like the runes seared into her body during her transformation, and she opens her mouth, but no words come out. "You can't even be a functional dragon, so what gives you the right to be our leader? Hm? Spending your days locked up in your hidey hole while the rest of us struggle to flourish. To survive." The pressure on her neck loosens, but her breath has gone shallow, and she thinks distantly that there's tears streaming down her face, not out of sadness, but out of the overwhelming air of fear clogging her throat. Ghost leans down further, nearly touching the bridge of her nose with hers. "I will make you stronger. Stronger than that useless idol could ever make you." And with those words, Rosetta closes her eyes, ignoring the red suddenly swimming around the room, behind her eyes, and falls unconscious. theme song  Smells like a blanket over one of those stand-up heaters with the fluid in it, and a lighter's flame.
