To Mystery, this lair is not just a home. This place, along with all of its residents, is what she has chosen to protect with her life, all her life.

A small guardian hatchling was born into a fairly small clan of other guardians. Sometimes her fellow clanmates would leave for something called The Search, she would never see any of them again. Her early life was a rather lonely one. However, every now and then she would receive a vision.

Learning early on in life that these visions were not to be taken lightly, she looked out for the day where she could meet this dragon.

A few years pass and she has not forgotten her vision. She wonders the significance of it at times, for it is the only one she ever sees. The clan leader approaches her at times, telling her that she will soon be of age to begin The Search and she must be prepared. The vision haunts her, and as time goes on, she sees it more often and more clearly.

Then as she sleeps, there is a cry that pierces the night. She awakens to find the clan leader exiting the lair and swimming to the surface of the sea. He returned moments later holding a dragon who was foreign to her, yet seemed so familiar. She realized him to be the dragon from her vision, and he was in terrible condition. She spent the next few months taking care of him. He would talk of his travels with several hunting packs of his kind, and she would listen to every detail. He became her first real friend, and she stayed by his side until he recovered.

Once fully healed, he told her he must find a new pack and soon left. She was lonely yet again, but then, she received a new vision.

In the depths of the sea. A sanctuary for dragons of all kinds.

This was the last vision she ever saw. The time came for her to begin The Search, she said one last farewell to her home and departed. She did not travel far before something caught her eye, a crevice amongst tidal pools. At first she didn't understand the importance of this location, but couldn't bring herself to leave either. Out of curiosity, she began to dig into the crevice and did so for some time. Enough to the point where a dragon three times her own size could dwell comfortably within it. This was it. This was the end of her journey. She had found her charge. This crudely made cave that barely resembled any form of shelter would become the lair of her vision. However, for it to become a safe-haven for dragons, she would need help.

It was then that she heard the all too familiar voice of a certain head-strong mirror...
Now, Mystery watches over her sanctuary as it's protector with her mate Enigma, their daughter Undine, and their adoptive son Cascade.
