Even before I was born, I was shy. I was the last to poke my head out of my shell. For my first week, I longed to return to the quiet darkness. The world was overwhelming--so much noise and color! I wanted to capture each moment, but the moments rushed by. While others long for the next moment, I wish I could live at half the speed. I appreciated the world's beauty, and yearned to capture it. My mind could not hold all of the beauty, so I began my first attempts at recording it. I drew rough sketches in the dirt and with charcoal on rocks. When I was two months old I discovered paint. I ground up everything I could find, searching for the vibrant colors I saw in real life. I've been painting ever since.
When I got older I traveled, searching the world for new beauty to capture. During my wanderings I found Amethyst Mountain. The mountain called to me, with its luscious slopes and breathtaking waterfalls. I set out to paint every part of it. I soon learned the mountain was inhabited. The dragons of the Amethyst Scale welcomed me into their clan. I have a restless spirit, though, so I travel with Amethyst when she goes on journeys. During a diplomatic mission to a near by clan, I met Twilight. She has a sparkle in her eyes and a playful attitude I quickly learned to love. I was soon in love with her. Before I left, she gave a beautiful necklace I wear always. The next time Amethyst traveled that way, I brought her back with me to Amethyst Mountain.

Reds and
Yellows on
Slate, those were my starters, though often I ate
The shade that Gogh presented as 'happy' and free:
All of this learnt whilst I was in in nappies!

See, I was the last to come out of my shell, shy as a wallflower, though I hid it well
The ones who knew, thought I could be fixed, but
All I knew was how to mix (with), yellows and blues and purples and greens
Landscapes rushed by, so fast I could faint, but I hit two months old and suddenly could paint!

And like the man that inspired much, once grown, I left home, in seek of de Dutch!
Came back with a vrouw, nakomelingen too, now my old veeloods looks more like a zoo!
