Metalsmith
Handiwork worthy of royalty is mended from this dragon's claws. The very definition of a workaholic As the oldest dragon to have been hatched into the clan, Vegards experience with war and its hazards is limited to witnessing what it does to its victims and veterans. He has seen his own parents giving up on the way back to civillian life, and he has been awoken in the middle of the night by restless thrashing of from his mate. He knows what war does, but he struggles to relate to their stories. Rather than letting this get into his psyche though, Vegard proves his self-worth by being the very best at his skill, as well as supportive of his more damaged friends. Before the arrival of Haakon, Vegard worked full time as the clan's metalsmith. If something made of metal was produced within the clan, there would be no doubt that it came from Vegard, be it chainmail, pans, hammers or jewellery. How a single dragon managed such an immense task without suffering a horrible burnout, no one knows. All they can say is that Vegard would be a terrific foe in any given field, seeing as he never seems to need a break. Due to his rather workaholic nature and him being bit of an introvert, Vegard does not interact much on a personal level with clan members outside of his social circle. He is not much for smalltalk, and if you have an order of something you need, or a favour to ask him then he would rather like you to spit it out at once rather than try to delicately breach the subject. After Haakon though, the ridgeback who would become his mate, Vegard cut down on his workload in the forge. At first it was in order to teach the other dragon the art of blacksmithing so that he could find a place within the clan, but later it grew into having enough time to spare for providing emotional support and love for the battleworn ridgeback. |
