How can he be so happy when the world as they know it is crumbling around them? Mandarin chirrups in his way of laughter. It's okay to him. He has a game to play. A strange game brought by a strange dragon, each becoming his own strange secret. He doesn't tell anyone about the game. He just waits for a mission and goes off to play.

______Probably the most difficult dragon in all of Sornieth, Mandarin is very much like a cat. He communicates with his tail and crests, along with various hisses and chirrups. He sleeps off from the rest of the dens, curled up in a small alcove of rock on the banks.

______He has a sort of puppy dog love for Amethyst (although you should never tell him that) because she was the one to give him his stripes and teach him to meow correctly. Amethyst got him to gather watermint, catnip, duckweed, lamb's ears, and coltsfoot in order to create the blessing for the gene change. The extra catnip is stowed away somewhere, and the extra lamb's ears cover his nest in a soft, cuddly sheet.

______If you yell at him or insult him, he'll probably forget about it. He loves all dragons, and unless taught otherwise, will probably fawn over them no matter what. Although his behavior is usually warned against by other dragons, he doesn't care. There's no use arguing with him. You should probably just pet him and forget about it.
