Biography

Monroe always knew that he would dedicate his life to battle.

As a young hatchling, he dreamed of going to battle, winning battles against Wave Sweepers and Manarunes, then coming home to the love of his life, four or five newborn hatchlings circling the nest.

Alas, not all of this was to be.

Just having been promoted to level 15, he decided to leave his lair and venture out to new clans. He soon found one that he thought he would call home forever. Here, he met a young Ridgeback named Amethyst, and took her in as his little sister. She loved him immediately, and aspired to be just like him, daring to venture from the lair to battle alongside her hero.

A bewitching Spiral called Kalle found Monroe's treatment of Amethyst endearing, and the two started a relationship. Before they knew it, they had four eggs to tend after.

When they hatched, their oldest, Jason, immediately aspired to be like his father in every way, and soon moved to a neighboring clan, where he would eventually become the lead dragon in their army. The other three children, much more like their mother, decided that they would rather move to more peaceful clans. Monroe and Kalle never heard from those three again.

Without the contact of their children, their relationship became rocky, and Monroe decided to take his frustration out on the battlefield. He soon found that he was getting nowhere and hadn't even advanced one level, no matter how hard he trained.

He decided to travel.

Amethyst, of course, wouldn't allow the only family she knew to leave her, and snuck out under the cover of night to follow him.

The two visited several clans and slept in several lairs. After a month, Monroe decided to check in on his love. . . . . and found that their home had been destroyed. Bodies of his friends lay strewn about the lair, having starved after the destruction of their lair polluted their food stores. Heartbroken, they went back to the lair that had been accommodating them.

No one kept track of how much time had passed, but one day a letter arrived, from Jason. He wrote about how he had prospered in his new home, and how he had heard of his mother's passing. He offered to help train Monroe and Amethyst until they reached the elusive level 25.

Monroe considered the shame of being trained by his own son for several days before Amethyst finally talked some sense into him. They set out under the dead of night, without telling anyone where they were going.

Jason welcomed them with outstretched wings. Monroe was proud to see how well his son was doing, and soon found that he was a more than adequate Trainer.

Jason explained that Monroe and Amethyst were wanted by an allied clan, which didn't have the resources to start an army on its own. Though disappointed that they wouldn't be staying with Jason, they immediately accepted, seeing that Jason's army was doing well on their own.

Once having reached level 25, Monroe and Amethyst set off once more, and soon found that the new lair was perfect for them.

However, Monroe had yet to recover from losing his beloved Kalle. He soon met another, an elegant Imperial by the name of Galene, and mated with her in an attempt to heal his hurt. The pairing resulted in three more children. Monroe pushed them all to be fighters like himself. Two, Curiosity and Mirna, did just that in attempting to make their father proud. They were later exalted to the armies of the Tidelord himself.

One, however, a bright girl called Janey, followed her mother's advice and looked for a home that wanted her for more than just her fighting ability. She soon moved to a nearby clan, and the resulting fight between Monroe and Galene resulted in their breaking up. This time, it was Galene who moved away, leaving Monroe loveless once more.

Months passed in which Monroe wondered if he would ever truly be happy. Amethyst would try everything she could to cheer him, to no avail. He wanted a mate, and all of his attempts at such seemed to end in disaster.

This was until his clan joined a "Secret Santa" event. His clan worked diligently gathering supplies to send to their matched clan, Monroe throwing himself into his battles, happy to be fighting again.

Their gifts sent out, they waited.

And waited.

And waited.

The adults whispered amongst themselves and began to tell the hatchlings that Santa had fallen sick. No one knew why their gifts weren't coming and there was no time to find their own. Just as everyone was about to give up hope of ever getting their gifts, a golden glint appeared in the sky. Monroe watched it as it drew closer, eventually taking shape of a dragon.

A beautiful, brightly-colored Nocturne landed in front of him, handing him a parcel. She introduced herself as Mistle, apologized for her lateness and gave a shy smile, explaining that she was part of their gift - she had heard that the clan desperately needed a Healer.

It was love at first sight, and they mated the moment there was a spare nest. They had two beautiful hatchlings, and named them Pepik and Lyndel. Monroe was happy.

He still visits Jason on occasion, and thanks to his influence, his beautiful sister Amethyst has become the second-in-command in the clan's army.
