Alkali is the eldest daughter of the Executioner and the Deathcaller, a notorious pair with themselves and their children well-known among clans Umbra and Abyss.

Alkali is the eldest daughter of the pair, and the first child to have inherited magic from their mother-- and for a long time, the only child to possess magic. Needless to say, this went to her head. This young Imperial is well known among Clan Umbra for her rather snobbish reputation; Alkali is not entirely unkind, but she certainly thinks a little too highly of herself. While her mother doesn't condone this behavior, she's never quite done anything to stop it, either.

It goes without saying that most of her siblings, at best, tolerate her. Even with the siblings divided between two clans, many remain in contact and visit each other. She and her younger sister, Iachoku, go to legendary lengths to act as if the other does not exist. Some of the more gossipy folk among Clan Umbra wonder if Iachoku's departure had more to do with Alkali than it did with Peyton.

Currently, Alkali is the head of the Umbral Coven, taking over in her mother's stead once she accepted a position as Magister on the Umbral Counsel, though there are whispers of her younger brother Cassiel trying to take her position.
