Borius
Ghost
Borius stared deep into the lake before his claws and his face twisting into a sour expression. He could not see his reflection, of course not, he was dead after-all. He snarled and slashed at the water with his claws, but made no contact. Just a cool sensation tingling up his arm. Just like always, all alone, everyday, lost in the fog of the Afterlife. Borius could not taste, could not smell. He was like a dying hatchling, confused and muted. Suddenly there came a soft ringing in his ears... What was that sound? He turned to the left, then right... It got louder at the left. He followed the sound and discovered it became louder with each step, more frequent, more desperate. He was running now, his claws not touching the dirt, and for the first time in forever, he did not seem to care. The sound was a scream now, it was so loud it hurt his ears. He was panting though he was not out of breath. Must be a habit leftover from life. He burst through the trees into a clearing, startling a Nocturn female the color of night. She jumped and then squinted her eyes at him. "What's the big idea?! Scaring me like that?" she snarled at him. He sat motionless for a good moment, a tear rolling down one scaly cheek. "You can... You can see me?"
