10220.png 		Quartz was hatched in the high arid harshness of the Cloudscape Crags, and is supremely adept at surviving-- even thriving-- in dangerous places. Her white coloration helped her to become a talented hunter early in life, camouflaging her against the glaring snow as she honed her skills on snowshoe rabbits and ermine. Eventually, however, the lure of more plentiful food and lands less populated with slow-witted Tundras won her over, and she flew north to settle in the Windswept Plateau.

Quartz had gotten used to being alone on her hunts, and it took her a little while to readjust to the company of other dragons again. The clan unanimously voted that Quartz was the best hunter and a fine hunter, though, and stunned and flattered by the praise, she opened up more and more, sharing her kills and telling stories of her hunts. While Patience was spending time schooling rookie fighters in another clan, she also began to accept individual's requests for training in the Coliseum.

Her usual battle-partner is Shomari, whom she trusts implicitly and loves quietly and deeply. Their mutal respect and rapport is strong enough that differences in methods of communication are meaningless; they are an inseparable team, as Shomari often curls up between Quartz's wings in her red mantle even when they are not fighting. Now that Patience has returned from his extended visit with another clan, they, too, often fight together. Patience's sheer size allows Quartz to use his back as a launch point to ambush enemies from above, spring upon them with a savage shriek, slashing claw extended.

The three of them, together with their battle-healer Naira, are currently training up the next batch of warriors and battle-mages, working out strategies for different breeds and personalities to be able to make a solid team.
