Cat's cradles made of seaweed and oyster hair, mother-of-pearl bowls polished to mirror-sheen, graven scrimshaw fetishes hanging amidst parcels of seabird feathers and desiccated coral: these are the tools of Teivaal's trade, as a master oracle to the Tidelord. The scent of salt and incense lingers on her shimmering silks. From her glass abode beneath the sea, Teivaal watches for shifts in the Signs. She serves as council to Noc, along with the other Emissaries. The bitter sea-witch's words are often, unfortunately, Cassandra's truths.

-v powerful oracle; gifted w/ Sight from a young age & groomed by the Tidelord's closest scholars
-became disillusioned w/ life in the spiral keep. life takes on a surreal sort of futility when everyone around you, including yourself, knows exactly what's going to happen next
-doesn't rly interact w/ the Valari much but secretly watches what goes down in the city from her scrying dish bc she's a massive creep bc the way people who can't see the future go about their lives fascinates her
-doesn't take requests; only tips off the Matriarch to future shenanigans if she's feeling charitable
-or when said shenanigans threaten to interrupt her supply of wine from the city. binch drinks like a fish
-will just straightup help herself to other people's stuff she's a shameless RB borrower
-once tried to "borrow" Teadara's pearl for a spell ingredient; the two haven't been on speaking terms since.
