Cree can only ever be found in two places: her lab, or around the shady side of the largest tree. Unfortunately (she does this on purpose), this means that it's not really easy to find her, even if all a dragon wants is a few questions answered or a little bit of alchemy help. She takes orders from the leader, of course, but mostly she experiments with whatever she wants to. Anyone else interrupting her in her lab is slated to face dire consequences - unless she's feeling unsociable again, which makes those consequences "won't see scale or tailtip of Cree for the next three days - yes, she's purposefully avoiding you, and no, there's nothing you can do about it". This really only serves as punishment for the offending dragon if they really desperately needed help, and so as a result Cree tends to get interrupted in her lab quite often.

Her lab, speaking of which, is a mess. There are ingredients everywhere they could possibly be: on the ground, on her workbenches, stuck to the ceiling, piled in front of the doorway (that's on purpose too, to keep dragons out), and a few on Cree herself. Sometimes they're harmless; sometimes they bump into something else and set off a chain of explosions with oddly-coloured smoke that any dragons happening to stand outside are promptly advised not to breathe in. Being lair-ridden for days on end doesn't stop Cree from trying more dangerous experiments - she can always get someone else to get ingredients for her if she's indisposed, and anyway she never liked going outside in the first place. Win-win, except for those poor clanmates who inadvertently did breathe in.

Something odd the clan has noticed, though, is that the ratio of Cree Sightings between her lab and the tree have evened out slightly in recent times, and sometimes she can even be seen venturing out around to the side of the tree rather than just behind it! Shocking developments indeed. No one will ever know why this is, or forsee what times Cree will be conveniently available for questioning (any time outside of her lab she's fair game, and so that's when all the desperate ones come at her). No, it's sadly not predictable at all.

The secret is that everyone knows how it started. Cree needed magic advice from Aerisial, went to ask, and got a glimpse of that rare, rare grin. Dragons suspect that the only one who really knows anything concrete at all about the mysterious Wildclaw is Cree, and perhaps vice versa. They do spend roughly the same amount of time by that one tree, though whether they actually talk is up for speculation. Sometimes a little Mottled Buttersnake can be seen slithering across to Aerisial's den with an offering of something gray and twitching - Cree's latest not-quite-perfected concoction - and occasionally a species of daisy only found on the other side of the continent happens to float down into the little skydancerss lab.

Cree's the only one who can't figure out why all these pestering dragons always know when she's going to be waiting by the tree.
