Violet may be an ice-flight dragon by birth, but she has always been a nature-flight dragon at heart, thus one of her reasons for coming to the clan she now calls home. She has a love of flowers, and tends a small, colorful garden of her favorite varieties. When she set out on her Search, she was almost instantly drawn to the Gladekeeper's realm, and eventually found her charge, a small but lively patch of forest bordering a pond. The clan she lives in now was located nearby, and some of its members first found her standing guard over the place and tending to all that lived there, plant and animal alike.
Her cat is named Snowfire and helps keep pests out of the garden.
Very few people, be they dragon or beastclan, are allowed to wander unattended in Violet's garden. Only a few of her fellow founders, a couple of dragons who have proven they know how to respect flowers and foliage, and Rose, her fiery girlfriend.
Violet knew she was getting close. She could feel it. Her goal was nearly in sight...
Here.
Violet looked around. To anyone else, this spot would look just like every other spot in this jungle. It looked the same to Violet, too, but she could tell this spot was special.
It was her Charge.
But what was her purpose here? How could she "protect" a random area in the middle of the Shrieking Wilds? Or maybe... Violet crouched to inspect a patch of wildflowers. Now she understood: her purpose was not to simply stand watch; her purpose was to create beauty, and guard that beauty from any meddling.
So Violet set to work. Over the course of many weeks, she dug the ground, pulled out unwanted plants, made channels for water from the nearby pond, and pushed over a few small trees. The weeds and pests became the food that sustained her. The flowers she had first found here stayed exactly where they had always grown, given a place of honor in Violet's new garden.
One day, she saw dragons moving nearby, in the trees. An Imperial poked his head through the trees and saw her. As soon as he stepped forward, she snarled at him. "Stop. Now."
The Imperial stopped.
"Step back."
He did. Violet noticed a few other dragons curiously gathering around.
"I am sorry for intruding on your land," the Imperial rumbled. He was noticeably bigger than Violet and could probably take her in a fight. "We are exploring the Wilds in search of a place to settle our new clan."
"We'll leave you to your work," decided a Mirror so well-hidden next to the undergrowth that Violet hadn't even noticed her. She and the other dragons turned to leave.
"Wait!" Violet called. She thought fast, two steps ahead of herself already. "You can settle here. Not on this land, but anywhere around it." A clan nearby who knew of her and her Charge could help defend it, and their presence would keep some of the vermin away. Besides, she didn't mind the company.
