Valaraukar appears to the rest of the clan as aloof and untouchable. He remains quiet and secluded from the clan, but as long as he contributes, no one minds. He seldom talks, but he completes his assigned duties thoroughly and efficiently. He often spends time in the wasteland alone, thinking and watching the subtle changes in scenery through distant eyes.

B I O G R A P H Y

Valaraukar is stronger than any give him credit for. Often lost in thought, this is an unfortunate combination with a tendency to be startled. If given the choice of fight or flight, violence is his first instinct. It was the discovery of these factors that resulted in him being cast out of his old clan.

One day, he was waiting and watching from a tangle of tendrils in the wandering contagion when a member of his old clan approached him. It was a new member, the old ones having long since learned to leave him alone. When he did not respond to verbal stimulus, the dragon nudged him with a shoulder. This was a mistake. Snapped out of his dormancy with no warning, Valaraukar bit and tore at the threat. The dragon was quickly dead.

Overcome by guilt and disdained by the clan, Valaraukar set out for the abiding boneyard. He has never told whether or not he intended to die there, but he brought nothing with him, neither food nor water. It is likely he intended to leave it to chance. He spent his days sleeping, his nights wandering, and his dawns and dusks hunting. One night, a pack of juveniles from the clan stumbled across him crouched under a long dead tree and brought him back. It was unclear at the time whether he would be a member, entertainment, or merely food, depending on how recent hunts had gone.

He was pitted against a guardian in unarmed combat. His fear lead to ferocity, and ferocity to victory. As the victor, he was called into the clan and made a home with them. They leave him to himself, and he has never felt regret in staying.
