 Though Lapis did not come to the Fullbright Clan as a representative of the venerable Stormcatcher, she is a dragon that takes a lot of pride in her elemental heritage nonetheless. She is one of the hardest workers in the clan, as she always seems to bring more treasure to the lair than her fellow clanmates - but at the same time, she is often frustrated that her clanmates do not live up to her own self-imposed standard.

Lapis also considers herself the most beautiful dragon in the Fullbright Clan - a bold claim that is hotly contested by Carmine and Undine. Her mannerisms are haughty, and for that reason she has few friends - but at the same time, the few friends she does have (most notably Frielei and her beloved Pinfire) are individuals that she is fiercely protective of.

When storms pass over the Star Wood Strand, Lapis likes to leave the lair and view the storms from a safe vantage point. When she is feeling particularly bold, she takes flight in the middle of the storm - a behaviour that other dragons (especially Pinfire) cannot comprehend.
